We believe that Children of Christ
Preschool offers children one of the best opportunities for achieving the goals
of Christian education outside the home. It can help them develop healthy
personalities and form values and attitudes for a positive self-image and good
relationships.
We believe that dedicated and committed Christian teachers
and aides can provide young children with numerous opportunities for growth and
development. We believe at Christ the King that our congregation's life and
mission includes assisting parents in the development of their children.
A primary goal for Children of Christ Preschool is that,
in response to Jesus' great love and through the power of His Holy Spirit, each
child will believe in Jesus as his or her personal Savior, and will praise and
glorify Him as Lord. The children will come to know Jesus as their very special friend, who will never leave them nor forsake them as they are guided to an
understanding of themselves and their world. Specifically, Children of Christ
Preschool can help each child live confidently as a beautiful creation of God
by encouraging him/her to develop large and small muscle coordination, sensory
perception, and good health and safety habits. We can involve the child in a
sharing and caring environment in which relationships with others are
strengthened through interaction and through practice of self-control.
Throughout
Scripture, God has given us specific directions as to the Spiritual growth and
upbringing of children. Thus, Christ the King Lutheran Church provides the
Children of Christ Preschool for its children and the children of the community.
